Offering the youth of Parkeston outdoor activities. Parkeston Welfare Park football club was created to give the children of the area some outside activity due to the youth culture which became sitting in there bedroom playing on the Xbox. Our aim was to create a team that would not only be about fitness but also to feel part of a team that forms lasting friendships amongst not only themselves but the parents and supporters alike, forming a football community within their club. The club Badge was created by the team back in 2015 and has been used ever since. We in previous years have had at least two teams that play in the Colchester and District Youth League. Our under 15’s becoming league runners up, and the Under 14’s having a really good season for their first year playing in a league. This achievement was all due to the coaching staff that gave up their time to make sure the teams got the best training they could get The Pitch was created out of seed that Bill Davidson and Steve Day spent untold hours spreading, raking and watering not including the ‘scare crow’ performing hours. Within a year dressing rooms was created, Toilets were installed and M K’s Tea hut was formed to create much needed fund raising from the home game parents and supporters. We now have a U10’s team and a U12′ steam for the 2022/2023 season
