The image on the left is a Xara created swf animation that is
then passed through Google Swiffy to convert it to an html
file. It is loaded on this page using a placeholder with an
iframe link.
1: Open a new Xara animation.
2: Import the street scene photograph. Set as background in
the animation layer.
3: Create new layer
4: Create the text for your neon sign.
5: IMPORTANT. Apply a name. “Neon” for example
6: Duplicate that layer and change it’s transparency.
7: Repeat as often as required, changing transparency & timing to suite.
8: Change the background layer timing to a very low value.
9: Preview Flash Animation.
10: Export Animation as a Flash swf file.
11: On the internet, go to Google Swiffy
12: Upload your swf file
13: If it converts correctly (there is a file-size limit), right click over the “View Conversion” button and “Save As” to your hard
drive.
14: FTP the html file to your web server.
15: Place a placeholder on your site and load the animated html file via an iframe.
